So on the day of, I went to my 2nd period, homeroom, and my 3rd period. Wing and I were matching! (Mr. Chan was in the background. He didn't seem to care that I had my camera out!)
We were also wearing light wash jeans, and sandals! :) TOTALLY UNPLANNED!! But yeah.And so then after third period, we went out tothe main entrance and like waited for 15mins or so. And during that time, I could've gone to Lincoln Market and get myself a sandwich! Cus then I only had those mini Asian hot dogs :( But yeah, and then we walked down to Taraval and took the L. Then we got off at Forest Hill Station and like walked for about 20 mins! And they said it was only gonna be a 10 mins walk. LIARRRRRR. And then I got sorta nervous cus I didn't want my penpal, Josh, to be taller than me, it would be soo embarassing! And then when we got there, I was trying to find my penpal and I knew that the guy on the far left was him. hehehe. We had to sit on the floor when we got in and then I saw this CUTEEEEEEE LIL GIRL! I wish it was my penpal!! Her name was Erika. BUT SHE'S THE MOST ADORABLE LIL GIRL EVER! It was sorta awkward in the beginning cus then it seemed like he liked the guys more.. but then his partner Samantha seemed to like me. SHE'S VERY CUTE AND NOT SHY. Josh was sorta shy tho. Bu he's still cute ;) And then I forgot what Josh and but Samantha was like "Stop it, or else I won't give you Chinese candy." And then he stopped. hahah HOW CUTE!! And then I taught him calligraphy and he didn't know what to write, so I was like "What do you like?" and he was like "Idunnooo" hahah typical youngsterr!! I used to always be like that. hahah and then I found out that he doesn't like chocolate cus then he was like "Not chocolate for sure," and I was like WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!! Hahah thank goodness I didn't get him a box of chocolate ;P After a lil while we played a game that He and Samantha made. It was cute, haha. It was like a board game but there were snakes, and ladders, and die (singular for dice, right?) but yeahh. We played three games and I didn't lose, not even one ;) But Samantha lost 2. And yeah, when we win, we got to heaven ^__^
Then it was time to go eat lunch. And again, it was pretty awkward cus he was still shy. I also didn't know what to talk to him about. And then later on, he and Kai were talking about Avatar. Kai was Vivian's penpal. And then there was this line that he quoted, and he cursed!! HAHAAHAHA SOOO CUTE! And then Vivian and I were like SUPER surprised! Josh was like, "Umm Kai, I don't think you should be saying those words," or like something like that. HAHAHA. And Kai was like "Well you say 'dickass' all the time!"
"I don't say 'dickass'."
"But you say 'dick' and 'ass'!"
"Yeah..."
"And you swear all the time!"
"Nooooo Mateo says the 'f word' everyday."
HAHAHAHAHA HOW CUTEEEEEEE! AHHAHAHA VIVIAN AND I WERE LIKE IN AMAZEMENT DURING THE WHOLE TIME! ^___^ THEY ARE TOO FREAKEN CUTE!!! Oh, I saw the fifth graders, and BOY WERE THEY HUGEEEEE! Yeah, just wanted to put that out there.
After lunch, we had recess. And I felt like Josh didn't want to play with me. AND OMG, HE GOES DOWN THE STAIRS IN THE CUTEST WAY I HAVE EVER SEEN! He goes one step, and then stops, and then goes down with the same leg! hahahahah! But he goes down pretty quickly ^__^ Okay, so Josh was with Kai and Jason (Jackie's penpal). And they got a basketball so we put our stuff down on the bench. And then we joined the lil boys playing basketball. And then Victor and his penpal came along. So I was like, "Hey let's play against each other!" And they agreed. So yeah, it was a pretty intense and HILARIOUS game! You would've never thought how much competive-ness is in their lil bodies! THEY ARE SUPER AGRESSIVE! THEY WOULD TACKLE YOU DOWN FOR THE BALL. Kai always got the ball and Josh wanted him to pass it to him but he wouldn't. So I heard Josh tell Kai that he can't be a "ball hogger" and so after that, he passed on the ball. And yeah, then came this other dude that I don't have a clue of who he is, but his name is Michael. HE IS GOOD AT BASKETBALL, AND HE'S PRETTY FAT. So I was scared to take the ball away from him. But I got embarassed by how much we were losing, so I decided to block him. And blahblahblah. Another lil boy passed the court, and then he tried to make a shot. And yeah, he just came outta nowhere! But he left after he attempted to get the ball in. Josh had the ball for a few times, and then his teammates were like "Josh pass the ball to me!" and I was trying to block him while facing him so I was like "Josh, Josh!!" And then they all laughed :) But YEAHH! IT WAS A GOOD GAME. BUT SOMEONE STEPPED ON MY RIGHT FOOT! KEEP IN MIND THAT I WAS IN SANDALS DURING THE WHOLEEE TIME. IT HELLA HURTED!! My mind is set to thinking that it was the lil Mexican dude, Michael. Cus he was the fattest one there. So after that, they blew the whistle and we had to freeze. I MISS DOING THAT IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. I still remember that if we didn't freeze, we would be benched, and that is VERY, VERY, VERY BAD. (from the 'Telephone' MV ^__^) And yeah, we went back up with our penpals, and I saw Michael and his penpal holding hands, so I was like "Whatt we have to hold hands?" but we didn't. I was pretty sure that Josh thought I had cooties ;) His face was dirty cus the ball was dirty and I told him and he said, "Yeah, that always happens." HAHA! CUTEEEEE. It was VERY hot when we were walking back to the bungalow and I was sweating, EWWW. But it was alright :) And after that we played two truths and one lie. And I got it wrong but I knew which one was the right answer. I didn't know if we had to restate the lie so I asked Mr. Kunisaki and he said that I could just say the number. So I forgot what Josh said before, so I just said it was number 3. Which was saying that his mom was Japanese -__- I knew it was the second one, cus he said that his grandpa or someone was korean. So we went alll around the room. And then we played a game where our penpals had to guess what someone in my class likes, based on fruits. We thought it was weird how they all knew the answer because their heads were supposed to be kept down on the tables. And Mr. Kunisaki eventually told us that he helped them with his name tag. Haha. And after that, we went back to our "presentations". But we didn't have anything else palnned, so we just talked. It was funnnn :) And then Samantha told Josh that if he kept knocking off the dominoes, she wasn't going to give him any Chinese candy. I asked what Chinese candy was and he showed me. haha after Samantha told him that, he was like "I already have Chinese candy." Then she told on him and I asked if she always tells on him and he said that she enver tells on him. haahha he looked sorta scared but he didn't really seem to care. So after a little while, we switched places, as in our penpals sitting on the carpet and us sitting in their seats. They had to ask us what our names were, age, and what our favorite _____ was, but they couldn't ask their penpal. So when Mr. Kunisaki told them that, Samantha looked at me. I smiled back. And when they had to get up and ask, she asked me first ^__^ At the end, Josh only had about 3 or 4 names :( There were 12 spots I think. But yeahhh, and then we gave them our presents. I got him a sticky hand, the green on I got from Reno. It wasn't opened so I thought What The Hay, since I don't have anything else to give him. And he told me that he was going to whack people's faces with it. I was like "Noo you shouldn't do that." And he said "Well, you can't stop me." HA! And then Josh gave me a letter and three erasers. He covered it up with his headband he used to perform! haha SUPER CUTEE! It looked like this.
^^ The presents opened. The blue eraser has a scent to it :) And the two froggies has blue pen marks on em. I'm looking at em right now cus they're in front of me. haha. I opened his presents in front of him and he taped it very well! As you can see from the pic before. haha and Samantha was like, "You should just rip it!" and she said "He taped it really tight huh?"
I thought that was the front part, but then he told me that it wasn't. hahaha
And then a white boy came up to me and asked if I was a girl or a boy. I was like "I'm a girl". And it was the rubberband game. So Samantha helped me become a girl ^__^ Afterwards, I went and got my camera. I wanted to take a picture with Josh but he was like "Noooo I don't want to." But he ended up taking it anyways. And the same white kid was there and he put his hand over the lens but then moved it and my camera took the the picture. It came out like this,
So after that, it was time for us to go back down to the lower yard to watch the performances. After the BSA people went, it was my penpal's class to go. This was their performance. JOSH WAS SO CUTE! And yes, this was my video, so I was the one who added the annotation. The kid in all black and high-ish socks in the front is Kai.
Then it was time for the other class to perform. THEY WERE CUTE TOO! ESPECIALLY THE LIL BOY WITH THE BLACK SEQUINED JACKET! The fat boy is cute, too :)
And that was it. I got Josh and Samantha to take a last few pictures with me.
NOTE: I BENT DOWN WIHLE TAKE THESE PICTURES. SO NO, JOSH IS NOT TALLER THAN ME, AND I AM NOT ALMOST THE SAME HEIGHT AS SAMANTHA.
After I took the picture with her, I hugged her and she was like "I thought Josh was your penpal." HAHHA AWW!! I'm going to miss them :'(
So that pretty much sums up my day at Clarendon! I also took pictures with Annie. Here is one of them.
I hope I see them again next year when I go! ^__^
P.S. This was a letter that he first wrote me! Brings back memories.
